Known Issues ______________________ • GrayAMP will not play VBR MP3s (yet). VBR MP3s are evil. • If you play a song in GrayAMP, that is on a hard drive that is asleep/spun down, it won't be very happy. Make sure the hard drive is spun up before playing anything. • GrayAMP will skip during high disk usage. Such as when launching large applications, and downloading several files. • Hard Drive drivers installed by FWB may cause GrayAMP's playback to sound distorted. • MPEGLib (default decoder) can sometimes get confused when you hit Pause. Stopping, and starting the song again should fix it. • So far, the only OS9 conflict known, is that none of the text fields appear disabled when they should be de-actived. This is OS8/9s fault. There was a work around that fixed this is OS8.x, but a suitable one has yet to be found for OS9. All in due time, however. Troubleshooting ______________________ • If you are having trouble figuring a certain feature out, or want a overview of something, browse through the "General Interface", "Preferences", or "How Do I...?" sections of this manual. • If a certain MP3 is not playing, see if it will play with QuickTime 4 instead, or try another player to see if it is damaged. It may be VBR encoded. • If a certain feature is acting up, Try deleting your GrayAMP Preferences file in the Preferences folder. • When in doubt, give it more RAM. • If GrayAMP crashes on you, and you can reproduce the crash, email the problem/steps to grayamp@digithought.net. • Wait, before you submit that bug report, think to yourself, "Could this possibly be a feature to anyone?"
